Welcome to the T∴G∴L∴S∴

The Home of Freemasonry in Serbia

The Brotherhood of the Traditional Grand Lodge of Serbia, which includes Brethren who took part in the revival of Freemasonry in Serbia during the early 1990s, has chosen to advance toward the Light within its own column — steadfastly and with pure hearts — fully aware that on such a path there is no haste and no shortcuts.

On June 2nd, 6007 A∴L∴, the Traditional Grand Lodge of Serbia signed a Treaty of Friendship with the Supreme Council 33° of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasons of Serbia. This accord has enabled our Brethren, who have proven themselves through dedicated work in our Workshops, to continue their journey toward the Light beyond the symbolic Lodges of our Obedience.

Membership is open to reputable men over the age of 18 from all walks of life. The aim of the organization is to empower its members to become the best version of themselves — to work on building their character, to receive support from their Brethren, and to contribute positively to society.

Who Are We, the Freemasons?

The Masonic Union is a fraternity of free men whose origins trace back to the medieval guilds of operative stonemasons. Its foundation lies in a pure ethical code, expressed through Masonic regulations and, above all, through the so-called “Ancient Charges of Free Masons.” Freemasons meet as Brothers, and they regard their Union as a Brotherhood—one that fosters bonds of friendship, a sense of belonging, and promotes fulfillment and joy in fraternal fellowship. The Freemasons of Serbia love their homeland and are loyal and devoted to it.

Our Values

The Masonic Union welcomes into its circle free men of good repute, inspired by a desire to cultivate virtue and moral conduct in society. Freemasonry makes no distinction based on nationality, political belief, or civil status. True Freemasons do not proselytize; information is shared discreetly and only when it is determined that a seeker may be worthy of joining the great Masonic family.

TRADITION

As stated by M∴W∴ Grand Master of the T∴G∴L∴S∴, Br∴ Veselin T., our Obedience serves as a kind of spiritual time vessel through which Brethren may encounter the original and essential values of the human being. The T∴G∴L∴S∴ rests upon the ancient principles of Traditional Masonry, with strict adherence to the Constitution as the basis of our internal order, and reverent observance of the Ancient Rituals of all Degrees within the Blue and Red Lodges.

LIBERTY

As an open opponent of all constraints upon freedom of conscience, faith, and thought, the Masonic Union defends these sacred individual rights through all lawful means. Upholding personal liberty and belief, it opposes any form of coercion or suppression of religious or political convictions

EQUALITY

All men, regardless of rank, profession, material wealth, or social status, are born under the same natural laws and thus possess equal rights in society. Therefore, Freemasons meet as Brothers, and their Union is a Brotherhood. In that same spirit, they extend fraternal affection even beyond the Lodge, to their fellow men in the profane world.

BROTHERHOOD

Freemasonry offers its members countless opportunities to forge lifelong friendships based on shared ideals and values. It provides a sense of connection, belonging, and encourages personal joy and fulfillment through the bonds of fraternity.

SERBIA

The Freemasons of Serbia love their Fatherland. They are loyal and devoted to it, and they consider it their solemn duty to defend its freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity—contributing to internal peace and order through word, letter, and deed. Therefore, they may participate in all forms of public life, always guided by the eternal principles of Freemasonry.

OUR FOUNDATIONS AND ASPIRATIONS
